Description

About Future Health Biobank

Future Health Biobank is an established provider of stem cell banking and genetic screening services, supporting families in the UK and internationally.

We are looking for a confident, organised and commercially minded Sales & Client Executive to join our UK team.

The Role

This is an end-to-end role that combines sales, client communication, and administration.

You will manage prospective clients from initial enquiry through to conversion, while taking responsibility for your own CRM updates, follow-up, documentation and associated administration.

The role suits someone who enjoys speaking with customers, is comfortable working towards commercial objectives and takes pride in keeping their work accurate and organised.

Previous outbound sales experience would be particularly valuable. Alongside inbound enquiries, you will be expected to proactively follow up opportunities, re-engage suitable historic leads and maintain momentum throughout the sales journey.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Management

  • Manage inbound and outbound sales opportunities across Future Health’s services.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to new enquiries.
  • Understand client needs and clearly explain relevant services, packages, and pricing.
  • Build rapport and provide a consultative, professional sales experience.
  • Progress suitable opportunities through to sale.
  • Handle common objections and confidently ask for the business where appropriate.
  • Identify appropriate cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Proactively follow up warm, existing and suitable dormant leads.
  • Maintain consistent contact through telephone, email and other approved channels.

Administration & CRM

  • Maintain accurate client and opportunity records within Salesforce.
  • Record customer interactions, outcomes and next actions.
  • Keep pipeline stages, follow-up dates and lead-source information current.
  • Prepare and issue approved customer documentation and communications.
  • Complete the administration associated with your own sales.
  • Ensure required information and documentation is received and recorded.
  • Complete accurate handovers when responsibility moves to another department.

Good administration is considered part of good sales performance.

Client Experience & Teamwork

  • Provide a professional, clear and reassuring customer experience.
  • Take ownership of straightforward client queries through to resolution.
  • Work collaboratively with Customer Care, Laboratory, Quality, Finance, Operations and Marketing.
  • Escalate scientific, medical, regulatory or complex matters appropriately.
  • Support colleagues during busy periods and provide cover where required.
  • Maintain CRM records to a standard that allows another team member to continue a client interaction when necessary.
  • Contribute to wider sales, marketing and business development activity where appropriate.

Commercial Discipline & Improvement

  • Actively manage your own pipeline rather than relying solely on incoming enquiries.
  • Work towards agreed individual and UK team commercial objectives.
  • Support accurate reporting of pipeline, conversion and lead-source performance.
  • Highlight recurring customer, CRM or process issues.
  • Contribute ideas to improve sales processes, automation and the customer journey.

Compliance & Quality

  • Follow relevant company SOPs, policies and Quality Management System requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and auditable client records.
  • Handle personal and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Work within your level of training and authority.
  • Escalate quality, scientific, regulatory or customer concerns through the correct internal route.
  • Ensure commercial objectives never override compliance requirements.

Performance

Performance will be assessed across both commercial results and quality of execution, which may include:

  • Sales and revenue contribution.
  • Conversion performance.
  • Outbound and follow-up activity.
  • Pipeline progression.
  • CRM and administrative accuracy.
  • Customer experience.
  • Compliance with agreed processes.
  • Contribution to wider team performance.

The role is eligible for commission in accordance with the applicable company scheme. Commission structures and performance measures may be reviewed periodically in line with commercial priorities.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Confidence speaking with customers by telephone.
  • Commercial awareness and willingness to progress opportunities.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities.
  • Good general IT capability and confidence learning CRM systems.
  • A proactive, accountable approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining collaborative.

Experience in outbound sales, telesales, warm-lead conversion, lead generation, appointment setting or proactive customer follow-up would be particularly valuable.

Experience using Salesforce, working in a target-led environment, or in healthcare, diagnostics, biotechnology, or another regulated sector would also be advantageous.

Previous healthcare or biotechnology experience is not essential, as appropriate training will be provided.

The Person We Are Looking For

You will be someone who:

  • Is comfortable picking up the phone.
  • Takes ownership rather than waiting for tasks to be allocated.
  • Is commercially confident without being overly aggressive.
  • Understands that follow-up is fundamental to good sales.
  • Recognises that administration is part of owning the customer journey.
  • Works accurately and stays organised under pressure.
  • Supports colleagues and contributes to shared team objectives.
  • Looks for better ways of working.

What We Offer

  • £24,785–£28,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus commission.
  • Opportunity to develop both sales and wider commercial experience.
  • Exposure to a growing portfolio of stem cell banking and genetic screening services.
  • Opportunity to help shape how the UK commercial function operates.
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Contributory company pension.
  • Applicable company benefits.
  • On-site parking at our Nottingham headquarters.
