Finance/Credit Control Team Leader

Purpose of the Job
To ensure efficient and quick cash collection from customers and resolve any issues before they become bad debt. We are looking for a candidate who has the ability to communicate effectively in English, French and German.
Key Responsibilities
- Run weekly aged debt reports for UK & Swiss B2C and UK B2B ledgers
- Send weekly mail mergers/dunning notices chasing debt
- Make follow-up phone calls
- For B2B customers, ensure invoices are cleared for payment before the due date
- Escalate queries to Customer Care when a complaint has been made
- Escalate accounts for debt collection where necessary.
- Checking the Swiss invoices before sending them to clients
- Arranging and emailing payment plans to customers
- Adding payment plan details to Salesforce
- Keeping notes and data up to date on Intacct
- Review the B2B billing spreadsheet and invoice accordingly
- Monitor emails, ensuring a swift response
Safety
- Ensure compliance with company health and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and COSHH protocols
- Completion and maintenance of fire, gas and manual handling training
- Report any health and safety concerns immediately to the Operations Manager
Additional
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by the reporting manager
Requirements
Education and Experience
The role would suit an individual seeking an accounting position within a small finance team.
- Good telephone manner
- Good experience with spreadsheets and prior use of computerised accounting systems
- Highly organised with good time management skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Multilingual (French, German, English)
Salary expectation: £30,000 p.a. 37.5 hours a week working 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
