Job sharing isn’t a new invention, but so far it’s tended to be a happy accident, with employees finding role-sharing buddies on a case-by-case basis. Sophie Smallwood, the co-founder of Roleshare, is here to change that.
Sophie had a high-flying career in the tech sector and didn’t want to leave her job or go part-time when she had her son, but she found her job too demanding to balance motherhood. This inspired her to create a platform where people can find great jobs on a role-sharing scheme.
Sophie explains the role-sharing concept to Elizabeth and its benefits for both employees and employers. She lists some jobs on the Roleshare site and tells you how to start your job-sharing journey.
