The answer to those questions might be slightly alarming for some of us, as it’s impossible to ignore the ever-changing online world. Everything we know is becoming increasingly digitalised, and as a society, we must continue adapting to the new normal. This has led to employers relying on their employees’ digital proficiencies more than ever before, highlighting a clear digital skills gap across the UK.
To address this skills gap, the government have introduced Digital Skills Bootcamps as part of their Plan for Jobs scheme, funded by the Department for Education (DfE). The boot camps have opened up much-needed opportunities for people struggling to find a job or switch careers.
How can we help bridge the digital skills gap?
At novi.digital, we recognise that innovation comes from skilled individuals taking pride in their work. With this in mind, we have launched novi.training, and aim to share our in-house expertise with the next generation of digital marketers and do our bit to close the skills gap.
If you are hoping to develop your knowledge of the digital world, you might be interested in our upcoming free Digital Marketing Skills Course. We will explore many key areas of marketing, including SEO, social media, analytics and PPC, alongside important employability skills such as CV writing and interview preparation.
We aim to work with individuals and support them as they build and develop essential digital skills. We have opened the door to excellent opportunities for those participating in the boot camps. This has included sourcing guaranteed interviews and placing several participants into job roles where they can continue developing the skills they built in the course in a real-life, enriching environment.
